Aluminum sheet metal body blends with the concrete base with a large hole in the base for hiding exposed ground objects such as well pipes, etc.

Stucco Finish

Plain white lighthouse models now have a thin layer of stucco as the finish on the sheet metal body or tower portion of the lighthouse. The lower edge of the tower blends with the concrete base. The concrete base has a large central hold and four steel projecting hold-down brackets. The large hole allows yard obstructions such as well pipes, pumps and motors to be hidden from view.

Lighthouse Mailboxes

This mailbox features a 28" tall tower (sheet metal body) atop a jumbo size rural style mailbox with a 15" tall door. This size mailbox is especially good for bulky mail and might be used exclusively for UPS deliveries. Other smaller sizes are available.

There are two lighted components, one is a lighted address box on the front wall and the other is the lighted acrylic globe resting atop the unit. The globe is frosted and diffuses the light throughout the interior of the globe making it appear as a solid block of light. The light is provided by three super bright LED bulbs. Both lighting systems are solar powered and come-on and go-off automatically at dusk and dawn, respectively. There are no wires to hook-up, etc. It is recommended that this mailbox be fitted to a 4"-size PVC pipe readily available at Home Supply stores. The inside floor of the mailbox should be about 42" above ground. A PVC pipe fitting is provided on the underside of the mailbox to simplify installation.

Brighter Solar Lighting

All solar lighting is now brighter than ever due to the use of 3 bright-white LED light bulbs rather than the single bulb previously used. Some larger lighthouse models use even more bulbs, up to twelve in one case.

In addition to increased brightness, the light rays are now evenly diffused throughout the lens room, uniformly filling the globe with light. In simple terms, the lighted globe looks like a glass filled with snow.

Aluminum sheet metal body is joined and blended with the concrete base. The base has a large hold in it so that ugly ground objects can be hidden. The top is hard plastic with a clear acrylic globe. The roof, comprised of 10 panels of raised-seam construction, lifts off to change the 25-watt light bulb.
